Warclaw

The Warclaw is a WvW mount that was released on 5 March 2019.

​

UPDATE: Beginning with the August 20th 2024 game update, the warclaw mount will be automatically unlocked for all players who own Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns or Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire. To access the mount, simply enter WvW and spend one world ability point in the Warclaw Mastery ability track. Details in this forum post.

How to Start

​

Warclaw Emblem - Acquire a warclaw emblem by spending one World Ability Point in the Warclaw Mastery section of the WvW Menu.
Rewards: 5 AP + Warclaw Emblem

Spend one World Ability Point in the Warclaw Mastery section of the WvW Menu as shown in the image. (Press B, last tab)

​

Important: Remember to activate Warclaw Reward Track in your WvW Reward Tracks menu! (Press B, 3rd tab)

​

This will complete the Warclaw Emblem achievement and unlock 8 other achievements that you need to complete to obtain the Warclaw mount.

Other Info:

  • Consuming the Warclaw armor pieces will give you 5 WvW Skirmish Claim Tickets each.

  • After completing the Warclaw Reward Track, you can activate Silverwastes Reward Track to get another Warclaw Armor Box for a Warclaw Helmet/5 WvW Skirmish Claim Ticket!

  1. Warclaw Companion
    Complete the following tasks to earn the mighty warclaw mount.
     

  2. Warclaw Gorget - Capture a keep

  3. Warclaw Horn Spikes - Capture a camp

  4. Warclaw Saddle - Capture a tower

  5. Warclaw Helmet - Unlock the warclaw helmet by completing the Warclaw Reward Track.

  6. Warclaw Body Armor - Unlock the warclaw body armor by purchasing it with WvW Skirmish Claim Tickets from the warclaw vendor.

  7. Warclaw Leg Armor - Use badges of honor to purchase warclaw leg armor at the warclaw vendor.

  8. Warclaw Tail Armor - Unlock the warclaw tail armor by looting it from guards.

  • Savage Scholar
    Collect pages of "The Warclaw" book.
    - Some pages appear to be missing from this book. (Hint: Find any book page)

  1. Rules of the Mists (Find a book page in the hills of the 3 borderlands) - At the spawn area of each borderland

  2. Fractal State (Find a book page in Mendon's Gap, Langor Gulch or Aldon's Ledge)

  3. Mysterious Armor (Find a book page in Anzalias Pass, Quentin Lake or Wildcreek Run)

  4. Reunited (Find a book page in Ogrewatch Cut, Durios Gulch or Klovan Gully)

  5. Warclaw (Find a book in Orgath Uplands)

  6. Spirit of the Armor (Find a book in Darkrait Inlet)

  7. Further Studies (Find a book page in Molevekian Delve)
     

  • Smodur's Blessing
    Speak with the Black Citadel's leader while mounted.Port to Imperator's wp in Black Citadel. Enter The Command Core instance just east of the wp. Mount up & talk to Smodur the Unflinching.
     

  • Fatal Fangs
    Use Superior Battle Maul to finish players who are in a downed state.
     

  • Not on the Guest List
    Use the warclaw's Chain Pull skill to damage gates in WvW.

Warclaw Achievements

Complete the following tasks to earn the mighty warclaw mount. Click on achievement name to see a video guide.

  • Always Land on Your Feet
    Let your Warclaw break your fall.
     

  • Fish Out of Water
    Let your warclaw touch the water.
     

  • Console Crasher
    Let your warclaw sit on the main console near the archives in Rata Sum.
    Port to Metrical Court wp in Rata Sum. Head to the southern tip of the top floor. Mount up & jump onto the console.
     

  • Is This a Scratching Post?
    Use the Pale Tree as a scratching post.
    Port to Upper Commons wp in The Grove. Enter the Omphalos Chamber instance. Use skill 1 on Avatar of the Pale Tree.
     

  • Lap Cat
    Claim Knut Whitebear's seat as your own.
    Port to Great Lodge wp in Hoelbrak. Enter the Knut Whitebear's Loft instance. Mount up & go right up to Knut Whitebear's chair.
     

  • Sleepy Kitty
    Take a nap in a patch of sunlight near Seraph Headquarters in Divinity's Reach.
    Port to Palace wp in Divinity's Reach. Mount up & go towards Seraph Headquarters instance/PoI.
     

  • Perfect Fit (hidden)
    Sit in each of the many boxes throughout Tyria.

  1. Sit in a box near the blue catmander.
    The jumping puzzle, NW of Blue/Green Alpine Borderlands.

  2. Sit in a box near the yellow catmander.
    NW lake of Red Desert Borderland; behind waterfall. 

  3. Keep watch over the prisoners from a box in The Grove.
    [&BLwEAAA=] Lowest level. Head to Nightshade Garden, SE corner of the map.

  4. Closely watch the fish from a box in Rata Sum.
    [&BLcEAAA=] Lowest level. Head to the NE corner.

  5. Sit in a box and prepare for war in the Black Citadel.
    A bit south of Mustering Ground wp.

  6. Keep warm in a box while paying your respects in Hoelbrak.
    [&BIcDAAA=] Inside Snow Leopard Lodge. The box is by the fire.

  7. Sit in a box to join the menagerie in Divinity's Reach.
    [&BCcDAAA=] East of Melandru wp. Glide down to some caravans in Haidryn's Menagerie PoI. West area of Western Commons.

  8. Watch the light move from a box in Lion's Arch.
    [&BA8EAAA=] The lighthouse south of Sanctum Harbor. Under vista.

 

Did you know you can get a Warclaw skin in game?

 

Guildrider Warclaw Skin Reward Track is an unrepeatable World versus World Reward Track, and the only method of obtaining the Guildrider Warclaw mount skin.

The Guildrider Warclaw Skin Reward Track achievement must be unlocked in order to unlock this reward track. You will need 200G to purchase the reward track.
